BACHELOR IN FILM & TV
With a Bachelor in Film & Television, you can set audio and video in perfect harmony. After completing the programme, you can, among other things, work with documentary production, producing live shows as well as writing and directing films. This can, for example, be done at production companies, advertising agencies, web and internet service providers or you can start your own business.
About the Bachelor’s programme
The Bachelor’s degree programme in Film & Television educates communicators who are able to develop, produce and deliver high quality audio-visual content for TV, film and digital media platforms.
You will be able to evaluate the product’s relevance to the recipient, and your expertise will be well adapted to the market’s requirements and needs.
The programme provides 180 credits.
Curriculum and courses
In the first year you will get knowledge and understanding of visual dramaturgy, storytelling, production processes and creative processes. You gain basic technical skills through script tools like Final Draft and Final Cut Pro. You will be brought from observation to critical reflection around the external reality. At the end of the year, you will produce structured live image stories with customised themes and plot.
In the second year, fiction based stories is the main focus. You are introduced to communication theory, storytelling, direction work, the actor’s work and understanding your professional role. You will also get experience within the documentary film genre.
In the third year the studies will be structured towards a professional role, specialising in the assignment film as a genre, and working with your Bachelor’s dissertation. You will gain knowledge in adaption, corporate development and strategic communication. You will be given real assignments from external clients as well as assignments defined by the school, ranging from individual projects to seminars or editorial work.
Practice Period
In connection with an extensive documentary project, you and your class travel to an unknown place somewhere in the world. The trip will last four weeks, and the goal is to fill the camera with raw material for a documentary film.
Entrance examination
The entrance examination consists of various tasks and challenges for you to solve. The entrance examination should not be feared. It should be embraced! So let your hair down. Before you know it, you will be on a roll, and what seemed hopeless becomes obvious. We wish you good luck!
