Westerdals Oslo ACT holds the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and accepts applications from students of all our partner institutions. Incoming exchange students enter our programmes in the fifth semester, which is taught in English. Our exchange students are usually in their fifth semester, but we will consider applications from all students who have completed their first year at their home institution. Student housing is offered through SiO and through HousingAnywhere.

Scandinavian-language speakers may apply to become an exchange student in all our programmes.

English-language speakers may apply to become an exchange student in all our programmes, with the following exceptions:

  • Faculty of Technology: Industrial Bachelor
  • Faculty of Management: All programmes
  • Faculty of Communication: Text and Copywriting. Special conditions apply to our Art Direction programme.
  • Faculty of Performing Arts: Experience Design.
  • Faculty of Film, TV and Game Design: Screenwriting.

All applications should include:

  •  Full CV
  • Short personal statement
  • Transcript, including current courses
  • All programmes, except Faculty of Technology: a sample of your work

The Faculty of Technology accepts applications for both the fall and spring semester. All other faculties only accept applications for the fall semester.

Fall semester: mid-August until mid-December. Spring semester: Early January to mid-June.

Before applying, your home institution must officially nominate you by as an exchange student. All nominations must be sent to international@westerdals.no by 1 April at the latest. We will then contact you directly.
