The curriculum of the three-year BA is rigorous and comprehensive, and prepares candidates for the full range of professional activities in game design.

A two-semester foundation curriculum provides a solid intellectual base of knowledge in storytelling, analysis, design, history, theory, technology, representation, and professional practice.

The remaining four semesters offer the opportunity to engage in advanced classes and elective courses.

Particular emphasis is given to developing mastery in design theory through practical exercises in 2d and 3d games.

The curricular structure encourages advanced individual and collective research to develop a bachelor project in the final semester.

A career after the studies

The gaming industry is experiencing rapid growth and this opens up new career opportunities for young creative students like you, but to get noticed it requires that you have a professional demo reel. We have an ongoing dialogue with local and international industry players about their attitude towards disruptive trends and technological affordanser, in order for us know what skills they are looking for.

After a completed Bachelor’s degree in Game Design you should be able to work in one of the following fields:

  • Content / Level designer
  • System / Economy designer
  • Technical / Mechanics designer
  • UI / Usability designer
